The Thermosleeve is a beverage cover that determines if a drink is at an ideal sipping temperature. Simply touching the sleeve lets a user know if their beverage is too hot, too cold, or just right. Powered by an Arduino Uno and programmed with Processing, the Thermosleeve uses a thermistor, which measures the temperature of the liquid, and a foil capacitive sensor that activates the system when the sleeve is touched. A speaker then plays an audio clip, while a corresponding red, yellow, or green LED illuminates, according to the temperature of the drink. The Thermosleeve ensures that a user is always aware of their beverage's temperature before they begin sipping it.
