The goal of this project was to help people efficiently find files and increase the overall engagement of the search functionality.
As a user starts to type a query, they see a quick list of recent searches, along with files that match their search term. Information such as the containing folder and last modifier can be used to help identify the correct file.
The results page shows the full list of results, with commands available on each file. People can also filter down their results, in order to find more specific content.
There are ongoing efforts to achieve broader search alignment across multiple Microsoft products, but this work has not been released and is protected under NDA.
